All things in Chinese Metaphysics are connected to the Stars and Planets in the Heavens

https://www.facebook.com/MetaphysicsForSuccessHappiness/posts/526544250765157

All things in Chinese Metaphysics are connected to the Stars and Planets in the Heavens.

As I progress in my studies in Chinese Metaphysics, I begin to see more and more connections to the references to the Planets, Stars, Gods and Qi. This was a realization I had over the weekend when I was looking at the photos I took when I went visiting to the Temple in Ampang to celebrate the Nine Emperor Gods Festival – Kow Wong Yeh, the nine-day Taoist celebration honouring the Nine Emperor Gods. The Nine Emperors Festival is held from the first to the ninth day of the ninth lunar month among Chinese communities. In folk Taoism, it begins with the welcoming of the deities and ends when the deities are sent off on the ninth day. The festival is known for the temple processions that take place during the celebrations.

These Nine Emperor Gods according to the story passed down from generations to generations amongst the Chinese were sons of the Emperor Zhou Yu with their Mother Deity Dou Ma (the Northern Big Dipper). Accordingly, it was believed that praying and honouring the Northern Big Dipper Star will prolong one’s life, eliminate calamities and dissolve all bad and negative karma. The term Yeh is loosely translates as “Grandfather”, a title worshipers commonly use to bring a more intimate relationship between themselves and the Nine Emperors. Popular folk culture has it that the Nine Emperors are actually sea pirates of the Ming dynasty that plotted to overthrow the Qing dynasty. However the temples that worship the Nine Emperors links it to the Mother Deity Dou Ma and disregards the other story.

There is another story which places these Nine Emperor Gods as high-ranking Star Lords who preside over the movement of planets and coordinate mortal Life and Death issues. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nine_Emperor_Gods_Festival).

The Nine Emperors is formed by the seven stars of the Big Dipper of the North Ursa Major (visible) and two assistant stars (invisible to most people). The Nine Emperor Stars are:

1. Tan Lang Tai Xing Jun (貪狼太星君)1st Star (Visible) – Wood element

2. Ju Men Yuan Xing Jun (巨門元星君) 2nd Star (Visible) – Water element

3. Lu Cun Zhen Xing Jun (祿存貞星君) 3rd Star (Visible) – Earth element

4. Wen Qu Niu Xing Jun (文曲紐星君) 4th Star (Visible) – Water element

5. Lian Zhen Gang Xing Jun (玉廉貞綱星君) 5th Star(Visible) – Fire element

6. Wu Qu Ji Xing Jun (武曲紀星君) 6th Star(Visible) – Metal element

7. Po Jun Guan Xing Jun (破軍關星君) 7th Star (Visible) – Water element

8. Zuo Fu Da Dao Xing Jun (左輔大道星君) 8th Star (Invisible)

9. You Bi Da Dao Xing Jun (右弼大道星君) 9th Star (Invisible)

These Stars are referred to in the studies of Chinese Metaphysics which includes Feng Shui – 8 Mansions and Zi Wei Dou Shu. Mountain shapes are also aligned to these same planets and stars. Hence, we have mountains called Tan Lang Mountains, the wood element mountain which brings prosperity and wealth. Its shape, which is tall and cone like is influenced over many millions of years by the presence of the Tan Lang Star positioned above the landform. The same goes for the rest of the stars. One day, when I have time, I would like to pen all these down and tie them all up so that reference is easierJ. One day……

Wow, how time flies :)

It has been a very long time but like they say, better late than never :D

The last time I posted here was sometime in 2013 but I have just realize that things could perhaps go back to how it was.....heehee.... now that I am self employed, time is my own again. And being out of a prison environment where all social network sites were blocked, I am now my own woman again since I have decided to part ways with my own place of work. This is going to be so exciting... getting back into the old groove. OK. Can't wait to start off .... Watch this space.

Furry Friends @ Furry Friends Farm, Kundang

I received an inviation to a birthday party 2 weeks ago and I told myself every other day not to forget to attend. But at the end of the day, I still didn't make it. Why? Coz I got the time wrong. I didn't realize that it was from 11am to 2pm. I deserve 2 knocks on the head and 1 kick in the arse.

I had so wanted to go as it was Kuning's birthday party. Kuning is one of the 2 heroic dogs which saved their fellow dogs from death's door.

This was taken off Furry Friends Farm's website -
"During the Rescue Mission, 2 very brave and intelligent heroes, Hitam & Kuning, assisted greatly by guiding some their canine friends to safety from the mangrove island. Both of them had belonged to the fish farm. In the amazing story of Grace, this very courageous dog had swam all the way from the mangrove island to the fish farm. Hitam greeted Grace and led her to have a meal at the lower deck of the platform. Grace was subsequently rescued, given medical treatment, rehabilitation and is currently enjoying her life at Furry Friends Farm (FFF)."

Anyway, when I was ready to leave the house for FFF, it was already close to 3pm and that was when I realized that the party has ended (*sob). I also realized that I had no idea how to get to FFF as I presumptuously thought that there would be a location map attached. But no amount of searching in the entire internet gave me a clue as to how to get to FFF. I tried calling my friend Sue but she could not help as she has always been a passenger and not the driver whenever she went to FFF. Finally, my boyfriend,  Trevor decided to call Sabrina Yeap (the founder of FFF) on her mobile. There was no reply but I was sure that she must be very busy working. We decided to go anyway as we thought, 'how big could Kundang be".

We must have toured the entire Kundang town, which seriously was not that big, for more than 45 mins. Most of it was taken up by the Golf course and a huge lake and several fishing ponds. Finally, we managed to get through to Sabrina who assured us that we were definitely on the right road (if you can even call it a road) when we were going bumpity bump on this off-track dirt path, with the golf course and a fishing pond on our right and the sight of the highway off our left. It was past 5pm when we finally reached FFF. But the trip was really worth it. Trevor and I got to meet Sabrina and John (a warm and friend volunteer and friend of FFF) and so many doggies. We checked out the doggies and were informed that some of them have already found sponsors. I asked to see to puppies and immediately I fell in love with little Brenda. She was the tiniest of the lot and John told us that she had to be fed separately or else she will not get to eat. I decided on the spot that she is the one that I want. There were just so many to choose from and I just wished that I could sponsor all of them. As I carried Brenda in my arms, the rest of the other puppies were all around me, with their puppy dog eyes beseechingly asking "sponsor me too, please?". I decided to sponsor Brenda's brother Simmo as well. They have another sister, but I could only handle 2 for the time being. That is when I decided to lure Trevor from the other side (he was happily playing with the bigger dogs) to come over to the puppies pen with the hope that he will sponsor Brenda's elder sister. After a tough time deciding, Trevor decided on Christy, a little puppy with big doe eyes that melts your heart. So, after having made our decision, we asked Sabrina if we could take some photos and she said "Yes, by all means". So, we took some photos with our little darlings. It was time to go as FFF closes at 6pm. We didn't get to meet the kitties....awwww...next week then (coz we are coming again...promise!)

That was when Sabrina (so wonderful of her) asked if we would like to see Kuning, as that was our intention to visit FFF in the first place. "YES!!" In a bat of an eye, Kuning was led out from where he was resting to come receive us. He is much bigger than I thought he was. And he is your typical gentle giant. He is so lovely and he makes you just want to hug and hug him. We asked for a photo with Kuning and here it is, Kuning, Trevor and I. Happy Happy Birthday Kuning and many more to come! Kisses and Hugs!

Happy Birthday Kuning. Lots of Love and Hugs!

Do You Live for Fridays?

Fridays always puts me in the best of moods. It is like nothing can make me sad as I have the entire weekend ahead. I find that there is a spring in my every step, a smile for everyone I meet. Are you like that too? Why is that?

I heard that this is not very good. You should live for everyday of your life. I do try to. Friends tell me that its because the following 2 days are non-work days, but let me tell you this. I seem to work a whole lot harder during weekends than weekdays. There is the laundry to do, the gardening to fix, the "cab" service that I have to render for my mum and other members of the family. Sometimes, I tell myself I need a rest after a weekend. But that does not seem to stop me from feeling so great on Fridays.

When public holidays come during the week, the day before the holiday just does not give me the same euphoric feeling as Fridays do. Oh well, I suppose that I am truly one of those who live for Fridays. So everybody, have a wonderful Friday ya....CHEERS!

What Do People Really Want?

I have thought about this a lot? What do I really want in life? Many  including myself would say "Money, lots and lots of money!". But, money is only a means to an end. It probably will not do anything by itself, unless one uses money as pillow stuffings. Even then, it will have to be the crinkly paper money and not the hard metal coins. Unless I spend money to buy something meaningful, money by itself does not really do much. So, that brings me back to square one. What do I really want in life?

I reckon some of the things that I could start with is having unlimited income potential, i.e. financial freedom. I would also want to have happy and successful relationships, good health. That prompted me to go searching the Internet to find what other people in the world are looking for. And I have found that basically what people want can be categorized under material things, self-fulfilment, emotional and spiritual gratification, career, lifestyle, health, amongst other things.

Whilst reading through some of the articles, I became aware that what we want is very different from what is realistically achievable. Obviously, one has to be realistic when deciding what one can achieve or get. I would like to make a trip to moon but would I have the means or the opportunity. So, after selecting what is realistically achievable, then what is important is deciding that it is really what you want, then plan for it and go for it. Hence, it is all about goal setting and keep focus. I have now to go back to the drawing board and relook into what I really want in life.....

That dreadful "EVIDENCE ACT"

It has been a long time and I am surprised that they are all still here, my blogs I mean. What prompted me to visit my blogs is this new Evidence Act, which requires people like me to prove that I am not responsible for anything offensive appearing on my website(s). This kinda of shook me from my slumber. First thing that I did was to change all my settings to require all comments to be checked by me before they are allowed to be published. Sheesh, so much cleaning to do as there is so much crap in the comments to my previous blog postings. Well, there goes all my free time smurfing in my Smurf Village on the iPad. Have to go housecleaning now :(

How Much I Miss Thee

Hi everybody. I have gone through a year of much soul searching and have decided to leave the cave and return to the land of the bloggers. I seem to find that many of my "old" blogger friends have also either left or have also slowed down tremendously. Of course there are also those "die-hard consistent bloggers". Anyway...*yawn...*stretch.... I do hope that I can return with the same kind of blogging energy I ended with a year back. Well, let us see ;)

One Line Humor

Seeing that it is a Thursday and the weekend is just around the corner, lets prepare for it with some one liners. Here goes :)

1) Regular naps prevent old age, especially if you take them while driving

2) Having one child makes you a parent; having two makes you a referee

3) Marriage is a relationship where one person is always right and the other is the husband! (must have been spoken by the wife lol)

4) I believe we should all pay our tax with a smile. I tried - but they wanted cash :(

5) A child's greatest period of growth is the month after you have purchased new school uniforms

6) Don't feel bad. A lot of people have not talent too

7) Don't marry the person you want to live with, marry the one you cannot live without, but whatever you chose to do, you'll still regret it later

8) You can't buy love, but you can pay heavily for it

9) Bad officials are elected by good citizens who do not vote (wait, I got to think about this one)

10) Laziness is nothing more than a habit of resting before you get tired

11) Marriage is give and take. You'd better give it to her or she'll take it anyway...

12) My wife and I always compromise. I admit I am wrong and she agrees with me

13) Those who can't laugh at themselves leave the job to others

14) Ladies first. Pretty ladies sooner

15) A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person

16) You are getting old when you enjoy remembering things more than doing them

17) It doesn't matter how often a married man changes his job, he still ends op with the same boss

18) Real friends are the ones who survives transitions between address books

19) Saving is the best thing. Especially when your parents have done it for you

20) Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools talk because they have to say something

21) They all our language the mother tongue because the father seldom gets to speak

22) Man: Is there any way for long life?
Dr: Get married
Man: Will it help?
Dr: No, but then the thougt of long live will never come

23) Why do couples hold hands during their wedding? It's a formality just like two boxers shaking hands before the fight begins!

24) Wife: Darling, today is our anniversary. What should we do?
Husband: Let us stand in silence for 2 minutes

25) It's funny when people discuss Love Marriage vs. Arranged. It's like asking someone, is suicide better or being murdered

26) There is only one perfect child in the world, and every mother has it (awwwww)

27) There is only one perfect wife in the world and every neighbor has it

A great Thursday everyone :)

Twittering more than Blogging

These days, I hardly have time to do much, ever since moving on from my previous job. The window left for me to blog, surf and just "run" around the internet has almost dwindled to less than 2 hours a day (and nite). But after saying that, I still found the time to "farm" at my favorite Farm Town place on Facebook (ok ok I have finally admitted that my frens Joyce and Daphne *smirk).

I used to be on Twitter also during my more active blogging days but since I am quite a "wind bag" - loves to talk and talk (and that is according to my ex Boss Rudi, or at least the impression that I got from him), blogging has always been my preferred choice of communicating. But these days, as I hardly have that much leisure time, I have turned to Twittering. It is actually not bad. Now that I have subscribed to the unlimited data access line, all I really need to do is to make sure that my mobile is fully charged all the time, and I can Twitter anywhere, whilst stuck in a traffic jam (opps, this is a no-no, so, please do as I say and not do as I do), sneaking in 5 minutes of office time whilst waiting for office meetings to start, during breakfast, lunch or dinner (especially when I am dining alone). I must really thank Twitter for saving my sanity. Surfing and getting online is really an addiction and I have to really accept this as a fact. Half a day without it and the withdrawal symptoms will start to kick in.

So, those of you who liked my blog (previously when it had more posts) and still like my blog, I am now on Twitter and I go by the name "Yozoranitesky" - (now why does that not surprise me - this is Patrick Ku's thought bubble - haha)

Alrighty then, I will see you all on Twitter then? Cheers and have a great weekend - I am sure I will.

Oh, by the way, those cutie little pups, they have all gone to great homes, Paddy, Benjamin, Eleanor, Magic and Cupcake. Hey, but that is only 5 of them... well the 6th one, MJ, he is with me now :). Hope to have a doggie meetup very soon. Any one of the doggie pals out that have any suggestion? Chester? Snoopy? Axel? Jake?Rusty?

These are some of the photos taken today. There are like little toys :)

Girl Girl 1

Girl Girl 2

Boy Boy.

A girlfriend who viewed these photos told me that the puppies are not very nice. I truly believe that it is my non-existent photography skill that is doing injustice to these cuties. Two friends who have seen them all today (Douglas and Patrick) might be able to give you their unbiased opinion on them :). If you are reading this blog, please comment guys. Thanks.

Urgent - Puppies for Sale

These puppies need good loving homes to go to. They are growing up very fast and getting more and more adorable each day. I would want one for myself but not at this moment as money is really very tight for me. They are all micro chipped, vaccinated and is awaiting the processing of their birth certificates. They are fathered by an award winning Shitzu named Pongo whose owners are a Pet Grooming outlet. The grandfather on the mummy side is also an award winning Shitzu. The owner has indicated that the price for these lovelies are definitely below market price as she is not a breeder. Just an ordinary lady who loves dogs to bits. So, the future owners must also be true dog lovers too.

One has been grabbed already and only a few left.

If there are anybody interested, please contact me. There is a commission also for those who are able to recommend a successful buyer for these puppies. Please sms this number for more info : 012 727 8337

Meanwhile, have a look at them cuties :)

Lucky The Dog

Anyone who has pets will really like this. You'll like it even if you don't and you may even decide you need one!

Mary and her husband Jim had a dog named 'Lucky..'

Lucky was a real character. Whenever Mary and Jim had company come for a weekend visit they would warn their friends to not leave their luggage open because Lucky would help himself to whatever struck his fancy. Inevitably, someone would forget and something would come up missing.

Mary or Jim would go to Lucky's toy box in the basement and there the treasure would be, amid all of Lucky's other favorite toys Lucky always stashed his finds in his toy box and he was very particular that his toys stay in the box.

It happened that Mary found out she had breast cancer. Something told her she was going to die of this disease....in fact; she was just sure it was fatal.

She scheduled the double mastectomy, fear riding her shoulders.

The night before she was to go to the hospital she cuddled with Lucky. A thought struck her...what would happen to Lucky? Although the three-year-old dog liked Jim, he was Mary's dog through and through. If I die, Lucky will be abandoned, Mary thought. He won't understand that I didn't want to leave him!

The thought made her sadder than thinking of her own death.

The double mastectomy was harder on Mary than her doctors had anticipated and Mary was hospitalized for over two weeks. Jim took Lucky for his evening walk faithfully, but the little dog just drooped, whining and miserable.

Finally the day came for Mary to leave the hospital. When she arrived home, Mary was so exhausted she couldn't even make it up the steps to her bedroom.
Jim made his wife comfortable on the couch and left her to nap. Lucky stood watching Mary but he didn't come to her when she called.
It made Mary sad but sleep soon overcame her and she dozed.

When Mary woke for a second she couldn't understand what was wrong. She couldn't move her head and her body felt heavy and hot. But panic soon gave way to laughter when Mary realized the problem. She was covered, literally blanketed, with every treasure Lucky owned! While she had slept, the sorrowing dog had made trip after trip to the basement bringing his beloved mistress all his favorite things in life.
He had covered her with his love.
Mary forgot about dying.

Instead she and Lucky began living again, walking further and further together every day. It's been 12 years now and Mary is still cancer-free. Lucky He still steals treasures and stashes them in his toy box but Mary remains his greatest treasure.

Remember....live every day to the fullest. Each minute is a blessing from God. And never forget....the people who make a difference in our lives are not the ones with the most Credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care for us.
If you see someone without a smile today give them one of yours! Live simply. Love seriously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God

Just For a Laugh - Know Your Customer

A disappointed salesman of a Coke company returned from his Middle East assignment.

A friend asked, "Why weren't you successful with the Arabs?"

The salesman explained "When I got posted to the Middle East, I was very confident that I would make a good sales pitch as cola is virtually an unknown drink there. But the problem is, I don't speak Arabic. So, I planned to convey the message through 3 posters..."

"1st poster - A man lying on the hot desert, totally exhausted
2nd poster - The man drinking our Cola
3rd poster - Our man now totally rejuvenated.

And I had the posted pasted all over the place".

The friend said, "That should have worked very well".

The salesman said "I didn't realize that Arabs read from right to left" :(

Watchmen The Movie

As I was surfing for the movies a-coming into our local cinemas, I stumbled upon "Watchmen". The Trailer sure looks interesting enough. The movie is based on yet another comic book, with plenty of superheroes. The setting of the movie is in 1985, during Nixon's still president of the US. The crux of the story is about plot to discredit and murder the various superheroes that exist during the story's setting in an alternate 1985.

The plot summary put up at IMDB read....

"Watchmen" is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the "Doomsday Clock" - which charts the USA's tension with the Soviet Union - is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion - a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers - Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity... but who is watching the Watchmen?"

You can watch the Trailer at the official website of the Watchmen there or below and watch it below to see if it is interesting enough for you :). It is coming to our local theaters from next Thursday onwards I reckon.

I went to read more about the movie at Wikipedia and the more I read, the more interesting the movie looked. There are plenty of characters in the plot with vigilantes and villains abound to satisfy all personal preferences. The superheroes vigilantes include

- Rorschach - Walter Joseph Kovacs, the superhero with the trench coat, fedora and a mask, who continued his vigilante activities after they have been outlawed;

- The Comedian - Edward Morgan Blake, one of the most active vigilante of the group, who is commissioned by the US Government;

- Doctor Manhattan - Dr Jon Osterman, a superhero with genuine powers who is blue in color, and is able to see the future and alter matter all the way down to a subatomic level;

- Ozymandias - Adrian Veidt, "The World's Smartest Man" and a retired superhero who has since made his identity public;

- Silk Spectre II - Laurie Juspeczyk - daughter of a retired superheroine Silk Spectre - Sally Jupiter, youngest of the Watchmen who retired when she became involved with Dr Manhattan;

- Nite Owl II - Daniel Dreiberg - inspired by the original Nite Owl - Hollis Mason, Dan used his skills as an inventor to become more gadget driven Nite Owl. However, he retired when vigilantes were outlawed.

You can read more about these vigilantes' bio at the Watchmen's official website here.

As for the villians, they were not mentioned in the official website but at Wiki's site, they mentioned the following other characters :-

- Moloch the Mystic - Edgar Jacobi - an elderly rehabilitated criminal, know when he was younger as an underworld kingpin and magician;

- Mothman - Byron Lewis - who is not the main focus character but one who appears in flashbacks;

- Dollar Bill - a first generation crimefighter who caught his cape in a revolving door during a bank robbery and was shot to death; and

- The Big Figure - the dwarf crime boss whom Rorschach put in prison.

Perhaps there are no real villains to this story but lets go watch this movie to find out :)

Stingray Migration -- Gulf of Mexico

This is actually old news but I just only received the email with the beautiful photos today. Haha.. it took almost 5 months for the news to reach my circle of friends. When I checked the internet, I reckon the first time this news appeared would be in June 2008. This is one of the earliest article I came across.

These stingrays looked like giant leaves floating in the sea. Apparently these stingrays migrate biannually to more agreeable waters. As they glide silently beneath the waves, they turn the blue water to gold off the northern tip of Yucatan Peninsula.

Sandra Critelli, an amateur photographer, stumbled across the phenomenon while looking for whale sharks.
She said: 'It was an unreal image, very difficult to describe. The surface of the water was covered by warmand different shades of gold and looked like a bed of autumn leaves gently moved by the wind.

Oh the video below has nothing to do with the Stingrays. I saw it and thought that it was a good reminder to us about global warming.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

I was having lunch with some of my colleagues this after and we were talking about the movies that are currently showing in the theaters. At the same time, we were also talking about some of the movies past. One of the one that we totally missed out was Transformers. I only remembered it when I was driving back. The sequel to last year's Transformers is called Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen.

This bit has been extracted from Wikipedia - Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is an upcoming science fiction film due for release on June 26, 2009. It is the sequel to 2007's Transformers, which was the first live action Transformers film. Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg return respectively as director and executive producer, while Shia LaBeouf reprises the role of Sam Witwicky, the human caught in the war between Autobots and Decepticons. The film introduces many more robots and the scope has been expanded to numerous countries, the most important of which is Egypt.

This is the trailer from YouTube.

These are the latest 2 video updates of the Movie. I so love their team song :)
